Used this set to make a 6.5 Creedmoor build, I did have very minor clearance issues with the rear takedown pin being slightly too long, which appeared to be just the coating thickness on the upper lug. Everything would fit together nicely without the pin the lower receiver, but when the pin was in-place with the detent, the upper would rub when opening or closing.
The 2nd issue I ran into with this, was that the Rise trigger pack I had hoped to use, has clearance issues due to its specific design. Next Level is aware of this issue, and they told me they were planning on opening up the trigger pocket on their next production run. They told me I could remove material with a dremel or mill to clearance the pocket without any concerns, but that TriggerTech packs fit into the original pocket without any issues. I opted to go for the TriggerTech option, and it was a perfect fit.
Its the first AR10/DPMS rifle I’ve ever assembled, and the AR10/DPMS platform has a lot of little nuances that just don’t happen with the AR15 ecosystem, so I expected to have some little issues/quirks. The fit/finish/ambi controls on this receiver set is what I was after, and it meets every expectation.
Their support team has been exceptionally helpful and responsive.
