Developed by Hornady, the 338 ARC round delivers more energy and better terminal performance than it’s 300 Blackout counterpart.  In fact, 338 ARC subsonic rounds (307 grain) deliver 1.5 times the energy than 300 Blackout (208 grain) with a longer effective range.  Not only that, but the velocity drop shooting super sonic rounds through a short barrel vs. a long barrel is very small compared to other calibers.

338 ARC uses the 6.5 Grendel as it’s parent case, so the pressures are more consistent, providing reliable cycling with both super and subsonic loads.  Who wouldn’t want big bore performance on an AR15 platform?
