NLA AR10 Firing Pin Retaining Pin- A Small Piece With a Vital Role
The Next Level Armament AR10 Firing Pin Retaining Pin evolved from our desire for better quality parts. During the testing phase on our 308 BCG we tried several variations of retaining pins. They all bent, especially under the extra force of 6.5 Creedmoor, and most of them broke, even after light use. Seeing a weakness in a small, but vital part, we went to work and designed these retaining pins.
We machine our pins in house on our lathes to exact tolerances from 4140ph steel bars. They are then Nextride coated for a long lasting, solid upgrade to any 308/AR10 BCG.

These pins should be in every AR10 BCG out there. Super tight fit and rigid as can be. I was having issues where primers were getting pierced since those flimsy retaining pins would get bent and stop the movement of the firing pin. Haven’t had a single issue with these and I’m glad I made the switch. I have two spares, but with as robust as these are, I don’t think I’ll ever need more.
